Newly Added to Our Inventory

Extra Twist for a Firm Catch

Brača II is based on the Brača I design, it has increased blade pitch (see diagram below), which provides a firmer catch and more effortless exit than Brača I. FastPaddler just added these paddles to our inventory, they are a popular option in Europe. These are larger sprint paddles, in the same category of sizes as the Braca I. For smaller size blades with strong catch check out the Braca VII.

Selecting a Shaft for Large Kayak Wing Paddles

Braca-Sport offers an excellent selection of shafts for large sprint paddles, allowing you to customize your paddle for optimal performance. With a range of stiffness levels and configurations, you can select the perfect shaft to match your paddling style and needs. Designed for world-class sprinters and powerful athletes applying maximum power over short distances, these large blades are typically paired with stiffer shafts (02k to 17k) to maximize pull during sprints.

For large wing paddles, we offer shafts from 02k to 17k, with 03k being the most popular choice. Athletes using larger blades for long-distance paddling, rather than sprint racing, may find that more flexible shafts like 17k or 19k are better suited for their needs. In addition to our standard stock shaft options, contact us if you’re interested in 1-piece shafts, Memory Lock System shafts, or the stiffest 01K shafts. Learn more here

All shaft options are available to suit your specific distance, conditions, and performance needs. Contact us with any questions Chris@FastPaddler.com

Other shaft variables:

  • 5 cm or 10 cm adjustable range
  • metal or plastic locker

Custom Paddle Length

All Braca paddles are custom-built to order by FastPaddler. Stiffer shafts offer a 5 cm adjustment range, while more flexible shafts provide a 10 cm range. For example, if you want your paddle’s minimum length to be 210 cm, you would select either 210-215 cm or 210-220 cm, depending on the shaft you choose. Check out this FAQ- Entering Shaft Lengths for even more info.

The 210 cm is just an example—you can choose any minimum length, such as 203 cm, 210 cm, or 217 cm, to suit your needs!

Hand Control

Select Right Hand or Left Hand

We can assemble your paddle for either right-handed or left-handed lever use, ensuring easier adjustments and improved visibility of the markings. This setup refers to the orientation of the lever and does not affect performance or require you to be right- or left-handed. A right-handed assembly positions the lever for convenient length adjustments using your right hand, especially when on the water.

Braca shafts are round, perfectly balanced, and can be built in either orientation. In the diagram below with green arrows, the paddle is configured for right-handed use; a left-handed setup simply involves flipping the shaft 180 degrees.
