Braca Hurricane 100 is part of the Brača touring line, and we consistently receive excellent feedback from recent purchasers. This paddle is based on the Typhoon design but features specific enhancements, including a slightly reduced blade surface area and an offset spine height to improve catch efficiency, tracking, and exit. Its exceptional strength ensures reliable performance in demanding conditions, whether you're paddling in the open ocean, rivers, or lakes. The Braca Hurricane 100 is the ideal choice for touring and long-distance races, catering to paddlers who prefer a traditional shape over a wing blade. Additionally, all traditional sea kayak paddles come with specially reinforced edges for added durability and longevity. Designed for flatwater racing for strong sprinters, the Braca I is one of the most popular racing kayak paddles in the world. The paddle is designed to facilitate the application of power in the catch through the middle of the stroke, leading to an efficient and powerful forward stroke. This is the largest classic teardrop kayak paddle from Braca and is available in blade types, Standard, Extra Light, Marathon (special order). Braca offers a full range of shaft stiffness and custom length to customize your paddle to your specs. The Braca IV is the same blade design scaled in smaller sizes.

Tear-drop Model with Powerful Catch
Brača VII is designed with a more extreme 'tear-drop' shape, which facilitates a very powerful catch.
This design maximizes the working blade area when it is only partially submerged in the water, especially at the beginning and end of the stroke cycle. Due to its special shape, this blade feels bigger than a normal tear-drop blade with the same area size, such as the Braca I & IV shape. Braca VII paddles are typically used for marathon and sprint, depending on the paddler's size. Braca VI paddles, a larger version of the same extreme teardrop as the VII, are more typically sprint paddles due to their large blade size. (VI paddles are bigger than VII paddles.)
This blade has become increasingly popular in recent years due to Danuta Kozak (HUN) winning two Olympic gold medals in London and three gold medals in Rio using a Brača VII 745 paddle.

Braca Kid

Brača Kid is a 'parallel-edge' blade with a proportionally smaller blade size and with proprietary material characteristics and mechanics of the paddle that are specifically designed to fit children’s physiology. It enables absorption of impact from each paddle stroke, thereby reducing shock on the shoulders, elbows and wrists and ultimately decreasing common kayak injuries. These small blade sizes are also great for marathon and long-distance adult paddlers!

Brača II is based on the Brača I design, it has increased blade pitch (see diagram below), which provides a firmer catch and more effortless exit than Brača I. FastPaddler just added these paddles to our inventory, they are a popular option in Europe. These are larger sprint paddles, in the same category of sizes as the Braca I. For smaller size blades with strong catch check out the Braca VII.
