New Pogie Design - Perfect balance of weight vs warmth!
This slip-over-shaft pogie was designed for easy in/out at portages, which also makes it a great all-around cool weather pogie. Excellent for above 40F/4.5C degrees, when hands may even warm up eventually, but you still want to block cool wind or water. Designed with a low profile, so they stay open and allow direct contact with a paddle shaft. You can use gloves with all of our pogies styles.
Braca also makes a Standard Kayak Pogie with a longer sleeve that goes midway up the forearm for more coverage.

The Braca XI blade boasts a special twisted teardrop shape that enhances its ability to achieve a powerful catch and a clean exit, ensuring a smooth and unique movement through the water. The Braca XI Van Dusen is finely tuned to deliver peak performance, offering efficient power across all cadences. It is our most widely utilized paddle in the USA and remains a favored choice among professional racers for Olympic Sprints, World Marathon Championships, and Surfski competitions. Marathon blades are specially reinforced with Kevlar tips, while Down River blades feature metallic tips. Extreme Tear-drop Model
Brača VI is designed with a more extreme 'tear-drop' shape, which facilitates a very powerful catch. This design maximizes the working blade area when it is only partially submerged in the water, especially at the beginning and the end of the stroke cycle. Due to the special shape, this blade feels bigger compared to a normal teardrop blade with the same area size, such as the Braca I & IV shape. Braca VI's are more typically sprint paddles due to their large size.Braca VII (7) paddles are smaller versions of the Braca VI (6) paddles. They are the same shape and are typically used for marathon and sprint, depending on the size of the paddler. This blade has become increasingly popular in recent years due to Danuta Kozak (HUN) winning two Olympic gold medals in London and three gold medals in Rio using a Brača VII 745 paddle.
