Sleek Matte Black surf ski version of Braca IV and Braca XI Van Dusen '92. Matte black blades are paired with the 19k, or 21k, surf ski shaft and have a 10 cm range of adjustment. The 19k and 21k are both designed for surfski paddling with flexibility for bracing and unpredictable surf. The 21k is softer, comes in two flex versions, and has a smaller diameter. New Pogie Design - Perfect balance of weight vs warmth!
This slip-over-shaft pogie was designed for easy in/out at portages, which also makes it a great all-around cool weather pogie. Excellent for above 40F/4.5C degrees, when hands may even warm up eventually, but you still want to block cool wind or water. Designed with a low profile, so they stay open and allow direct contact with a paddle shaft. You can use gloves with all of our pogies styles.
Braca also makes a Standard Kayak Pogie with a longer sleeve that goes midway up the forearm for more coverage.

Innovative Tear-drop Model
Bracsa VIII is based on an innovative blade concept. It was designed and engineered to facilitate a softer catch and the generation of smooth, precise, and consistent strokes. The Bracsa VIII makes an ideal first wing paddle for sea kayakers due to the soft catch and more forgiving forward stroke posture. Our VIII's are Bracsa VIII style as pictured (previous logo, same blade design) with new shafts. All Bracsa VIII have the newest model shafts with the latest locking mechanism. Paddles with the Bracsa label (as opposed to Braca) and a blacker finish are awesome deals, the exact same blade design but from older inventory, new, unused and in perfect condition. Braca XI Van Dusen '92 is the latest addition to the kayak wing paddle category. In response to high demand and requests from our team riders, BRAČA-SPORT® has licensed the Van Dusen design. The Braca XI blade boasts a special twisted teardrop shape that enhances its ability to achieve a powerful catch and a clean exit, ensuring a smooth and unique movement through the water. The Braca XI Van Dusen is finely tuned to deliver peak performance, offering efficient power across all cadences. It is our most widely utilized paddle in the USA and remains a favored choice among professional racers for Olympic Sprints, World Marathon Championships, and Surfski competitions. Marathon blades are specially reinforced with Kevlar tips, while Down River blades feature metallic tips. The edges of both types of blades are highly impact-resistant, making them suitable for use in extreme rocky conditions.

Tear-drop Model with Powerful Catch
Brača VII is designed with a more extreme 'tear-drop' shape, which facilitates a very powerful catch.This design maximizes the working blade area when it is only partially submerged in the water, especially at the beginning and end of the stroke cycle. Due to its special shape, this blade feels bigger than a normal tear-drop blade with the same area size, such as the Braca I & IV shape. Braca VII paddles are typically used for marathon and sprint, depending on the paddler's size. Braca VI paddles, a larger version of the same extreme teardrop as the VII, are more typically sprint paddles due to their large blade size. (VI paddles are bigger than VII paddles.)
This blade has become increasingly popular in recent years due to Danuta Kozak (HUN) winning two Olympic gold medals in London and three gold medals in Rio using a Brača VII 745 paddle.
